Why do Expats in Portugal struggle with the CIPLE?
“I live here, but I don’t speak Portuguese”
Many expats use English, not Portuguese. As a result:
Listening skills are weak
Speaking confidence is low
Real exam situations feel stressful
Bralizian Portuguese
Most apps and online courses teach Brazilian Portuguese, not European Portuguese. This creates problems with:
Pronunciation
Listening comprehension
Real-life communication in Portugal
Group courses are outdated
Many Portuguese language schools in Portugal offer group classes, but they don't align with the CIPLE requirements, which leads to:
Poor listening comprehension
Focus on knowledge, not skills
Little speaking practice

Really glad I found Lingamor gatherings — they give you a chance to practice Portuguese without all the formal stuff you deal with in school. Finding a place where you can turn your hard work of learning a language into real-world conversations is awesome. Shine on 🇵🇹🔥

Many thanks for what @ling.amor is doing! To start speaking a language, you need to actually speak it — and start as early as possible! It's a safe environment for those who aren't confident in their abilities. You build vocabulary and learn common expressions. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
